"America's founders declared that our republic and its Constitution were established by the hand of God. They emphasized that He will continue to bless our land only if we are a moral and religious people who govern ourselves by the inspired principles of liberty and union."

National Center for Constitutional Studies.

The National Heritage Center for Constitutional Studies adopts the mission statement of the National Center for Constitutional Studies. WORKSHOP ABSTRACTS:

1:00 PM: The Historical Meaning of the Term "Sovereignty." Did you know that the meaning of sovereignty is rooted in biblical law? How quickly America could be returned to her constitutional underpinnings if only more Pastors understood this themselves and led their flock to understand it. Attend this seminar taught by New Hampshire's Patriot Pastor Garrett Lear to learn where America's Founding Fathers learned the principle of true sovereignty.

1:00 PM: The Heller Case is the first U.S. Supreme Court case in U.S. history to directly address whether the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right or a collective right applying only to state-regulated militias.  The Court held that an individual right to possess a firearm for private use is protected by the 2nd Amendment. Attend this workshop led by Dr. Edwin Vieira to understand the importance of the  District of Columbia v. Heller decision.

2:15 PM: Partner Founding Documents: The Declaration and the Constitution for the United States. Even those who do pay lip service to the Constitution often do so without any understanding of the fundamental law that it rests upon.  That fundamental law is the Declaration of Independence. Attend this workshop led by Dr. Paul Jehle to explore the relationship between these two founding documents, and learn why an understanding of their relationship  is critical to properly interpret the Constitution along with the 9th and 10th amendments to the Bill of Rights.

2:15 PM: The Search for a Constitutional Presidency. Did you know that the Constitution  limits the extent to which the President can act independently? Did you know that under the Constitution Presidential authority is limited to only six areas? The Constitution clearly establishes the duties of the President. Do you wonder what that office would look like if the Constitution were followed?  To find out, attend this workshop with Dr. Lee Button, Vice-Chair of the National Heritage Center for Constitutional Studies.

Jon Roland...Founder Constitution Society

Mr. Roland is a graduate of the University of Chicago where
he earned his degree in Math, Physics and Philosophy.
Jon's early education began in much the same way America's Founding Fathers began theirs... self-study.
An avid student, by the age of 12 years Jon was already
engaged  in the study of advanced mathematics teaching
himself Calculus.  Jon's political development was
peaked during his Senior year in high school by a passage
from  his American Government textbook
stating that the  "Founders would have considered most
modern legislation based on the Commerce Clause
 to be unconstitutional."
A visit to Jon's website confirms his
ardent support for the Framers' Constitutional Republic.

"Nothing New Under the Sun..."
The setting is the Mont Vernon dining room. President Adams and Abigail,  James and Dolly Madison, and Thomas Jefferson have been  invited to dinner with George and Martha Washington. The Washington's arranged the dinner meeting in the hope of healing the rift that has developed between the Jeffersonian Republicans and the Federalists. Their dinner  is interrupted rather abruptly when a Mont Vernon servant announces the arrival of two gentlemen dressed in strange attire and calling themselves "presidential candidates".  The strangely dressed uninvited guests are none other than  John McCain and Barack Obama who are about to get  a lesson  in constitutional government.

CONSTITUTION DAY IS NOT ONLY EDUCATIONAL AND PATRIOTIC... IT'S ALSO ENTERTAINING.
